RESERVATION
POLICIES
PLEASE NOTE:
- We cater to families only
and strictly enforce quiet hours (11pm-8am). Campers under the age
of 21 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 25 years
or older on the same site.
- Rates based on 2 adults, 2
children, 1 camping unit, and 1 car. No substitutions. Extra adults,
children, infants, and cars are charged $8 per day (in-season) and
$5 per day (pre/post season).
- Max of 6 people per site (4
in 1 room cabins & Apartment)-(5 in gatehouse)-(6 in Park Model & 2 Room Loft Cabins). Max of 2 cars per reservation including guest
cars.
- Minimum stays required at
times. See rate tables and call for more information.
- SITES: Check-in after
2pm/Check-Out before 12 noon. RENTALS: Check-in after 3pm/Check-Out
before 11am. SORRY, WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE EARLY CHECK-INS ESPECIALLY
IN JULY & AUGUST. Beachcomber does not offer an overflow parking
area. Please understand that someone may be on the site until 12
noon and you will appreciate the time we need to spruce up your
site or cabin prior to your arrival. Thank you.
- Positively no check-ins after
11pm or when store is closed. Store closes early in the spring &
fall - please call a few days prior to your vacation for late check-in
times.
- Late check-outs ($) extremely
limited and based upon availability.
- No Boats, Storage
Trailers, Utility Trailers or Personal Water Crafts permitted on
campsite. We have a separate storage area for these. ($)
- No alcoholic beverages permitted.
- Gift Certificates make Great
Presents!
RESERVATIONS
- Minimum stays
required at times. See rate tables for more
information.
- For any
last-minute visits, we highly suggest calling
before arrival to check on availability.
- 1 Week
minimum for all site & rental reservations
(July & August). Occasionally, space may be
available for shorter periods of time. Please
call 1 month prior to desired check-in date to
check shorter stay availability.
- We encourage
you to reserve weekly summer vacation dates
early, since many dates fill up well in advance.
Summer cabin reservations have a 1 week minimum
(sorry, Saturday arrivals not available in the
summer). Please note that there are certain site
areas of the park that are reserved for
spring/fall packages or summer vacations of extended stays.
- Sorry, summer Saturday check-ins
not available for rentals.
RESERVATION
FEES
- Summer site reservations require
a $150 reservation fee (larger amount required for extended stays).
- Spring & fall site reservations
require a 1 night reservation fee (larger amount required for extended
stays)
- All special
package reservations require a 100% reservation
fee and are non-refundable.
- Cabins
require a 50% reservation fee (of dollar amount
for length of stay) if more than 30 days prior to
arrival or 100% if less than 30 days prior to
arrival date.
- Sites and cabins are reserved
on a first received basis.
- Reservation confirmed by email and/or mail
after fee is received.
- Rates subject to change unless
we have received your reservation fee.
- US money
orders, Visa, & Master Card are accepted for
reservation fee. US personal check reservation
fees must be received at least 30 days prior to
arrival date. Sorry, we cannot accept checks at
check-in or during your stay. Any reservation
made within 30 days of arrival date will require
a MasterCard or Visa charge to reserve.
- If a credit card is given
to confirm reservation, the reservation fee will be processed on
the day the reservation is taken.
- Upon receiving reservation
fee, Beachcomber will send an email and/or written confirmation stating that the
reservation fee was received. Please review your confirmation
carefully.
PAYMENTS
- For all cabin
reservations and for site reservations over
extended holiday weekends, any balance due must
be paid in full at least 30 days prior to arrival
or credit card on file will be charged.
- For stays of
2 weeks or longer, 50% due at reservation and
balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
- For all other
stays, balance is due upon check-in and may be
paid by cash, travelers checks, Mastercard, or
Visa.
- Sorry, any
checks must be received at least 30 days prior to
arrival. We cannot accept personal checks at
check-in or during your stay.
- Sorry, no
Canadian checks or currency.
RESERVATION
CHANGES
- If it is a
change in DATES ONLY (not in length of stay), no
charge if change is made at least 14 days in
advance, providing a site is available.
- If a change
is made in LENGTH OF STAY, there is no charge if
extending length of stay, providing a site is
available. However, to shorten a reservation, the
change must be made 14 days prior to scheduled
arrival date or no refund on unused days. Account
will be charged for original reservation. Sorry,
no shortening of stay in July or August.
- Failure to
arrive by noon of the day following your
scheduled date of arrival will result in
cancellation of reservation, with no refund or
credit for No Show.
RESERVATION
CANCELLATIONS
- Camping is an
outdoor experience. Therefore, we do not give
refunds due to the discomfort of nature or
otherwise.
- Any
cancellation made at least 14 days prior to
arrival date will result in a refund minus a $20
cancellation fee for sites or 1 night stay
cancellation fee for cabins.
- Any
cancellation made less than 14 days but at least
7 days prior to arrival date will be entitled to
a Beachcomber Campground Credit for a future
stay, minus a $20 cancellation fee for sites no
refund/credit for cabins.
- Any
cancellation made less than 7 days prior to
arrival date shall receive no refund or credit
for sites or cabins.
- There are no
refunds or credits for early departures.
SITE REQUESTS
Although we do our very best to accommodate your site
requests, we cannot guarantee a specific site Please
understand that many factors are considered in assigning
sites, most notably date reservation was made, duration
of stay (preference given to stays longer than 7 nights), and desire to keep multi-site reservations
together - NOT YOUR TIME OF ARRIVAL. Although site
assignments may occasionally be subject to change in the
event of unforeseen circumstances, those arriving early
should not expect park staff to relocate another camper's
site assignment simply because that camper has not yet
arrived. We reserve the right to substitute campsites.
PARKING & VEHICLES
1 car is included in your site/cabin base rate. There is a max of
2 cars per site including guests. Any 2nd vehicle or guest vehicle
is to be parked in a designated parking area and is charged extra
per day -$ see rate table. Gas powered golf carts, ATVs, mopeds, scooters,
& boats as well as electric scooters, are not permitted. Electric
Golf cart rentals available. Call for more information. Security deposit plus daily charge required if you bring your own electric golf cart.
GATE
CARD DEPOSITS
Beachcomber has a card controlled entry gate. $10 cash security deposit
required for card.
DOGS
& OTHER PETS
CABINS: Positively no
pets allowed in cabins or trailer rentals or on cabin/trailer rental
sites. Sorry, if you rent a cabin or trailer, you will need to leave
your pet at home for this trip.
SITES: Sorry, guests camping on sites are limited
to 1 pet over 18 lbs., or 2 pets under 18 lbs. each. Barking
dogs and exotic pets are not permitted. Dogs must be on a short leash
and under the owner’s control at all times. Pets must not be
left alone at the campsite at any time. Owners must clean up after
their pet. These rules also apply when your children are in charge
of your pet, so they may require more supervision than usual. Pets
prohibited from using pools, lakes, and beach. No pets permitted in
campground store or other campground buildings including rentals.
Kennel info: BAYSHORE KENNELS (465-3121) open Mon-Sat 8-5pm
and Sun 8-2pm. They are located on Route 47 at mile marker 9.7 (about
9 miles from the campground).

GUESTS: WHY A GUEST FEE?
Why a guest fee? Excess people cause strains on restrooms, pools,
activity programs, and other facilities which cause extra utility
charges and expenditures. Who pays for this? You the camper? No, the
user, the visitor. Please be advised that visitors are charged a fee
for their use of the facilities. Visitors must register in the office.
Please advise your guests of the guest fee. If you would like to pay
in advance for your guests, you may do so at the office. Your guests
are your responsibility. Guests are not permitted to bring pets.
TENTS
Tents are permitted on VIP EW & VIP EWS sites in our horseshoe
section only.
ULTRA sites: Sorry, no sleeping tents permitted in our VIP ULTRA EWS
section. Kitchen/dining tents are permitted on concrete pad only.
These dining tents are not to be used for sleeping or storage.
Cabins & Rentals: Sorry, tents, kitchen tents, gazebos, or other
camping equipment are not permitted on cabin rental sites.
EXPRESS CHECK-IN
Express Check-in: Available for guests paid in
full prior at least 1 week prior to arrival, from 2pm to 8pm on Fridays, Saturdays & Sunday in the summer (July & August), as well
as Memorial Day & Labor Day Weekends. Sorry, not available for
rental units. Call for more information
BICYCLES
NJ state law requires that children under 17 years of age wear a helmet
while riding a bicycle. Bicycle riding after sunset is permitted only
if bike has a front light & rear reflectors.
GROUPS
Spring & Fall group camping available, April, May & September, October. Please call our group coordinator
at 609-886-6035 for groups of 6 or more sites and/or cabins and for
all scout troop reservations. Sorry, due to extremely heavy bookings
in high season, we cannot accomodate to groups in the summer months or
over holiday weekends. We cannot guarantee that parties of 2 or more
will have adjacent or adjoining sites.
