Is parking at the beach free?
Wildwood:
Free parking for the Wildwood NJ beach and boardwalk is available, West of New Jersey Ave. Wildwood also offers paid-for lots which provide more security. Parking along the beach is meter parking only.
Cape May:
Parking meters are in effect May 1 to October 31, every day, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Free parking is available at the Cape May Elementary School located at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Madison Avenue Saturday and Sunday while school is in session and daily during the summer break till 11:00PM, there is to be NO OVERNIGHT PARKING.

Wildwood Dog Beach

Dogs are allowed on Wildwood and Wildwood Crest beaches from October to May and on the North Wildwood beach at any time except for when lifeguards are present (9:30 am-5:30 pm), but are not allowed on the Boardwalk at any time. Dogs must be on a leash and the owner must pick up and dispose of droppings. A “dog friendly” park and beach is located at Glenwood Ave in Wildwood and clearly marked with a giant fire hydrant sculpture. Hours are from 6 a.m. until dusk. A dog park is located on the east side of the beach at 24th Avenue in North Wildwood, a permit ($10) is required for your dog and hours are 8 a.m. until dusk.
Can you bird watch in Cape May?
Cape May is considered North America’s greatest bird watching locations. More than 400 different species have been seen on the peninsula during the fall migration. This area is known for spectacular flights of peregrines, merlins, ospreys and sharp-shinned hawks.

Fall and spring are magical months to witness all manners of migratory birds, butterflies, dragonflies and bats occupying our airspace and using the diverse habitats in the Cape May area.

Where can I go crabbing with the kids?
Cape May National Wildlife Refuge. – Along the creeks in the marshlands on Ocean Drive between Cape May and Wildwood Crest.
Schellenger's Landing in Cape May Harbor.
​Leaming Avenue-Elmira Street bridge between West Cape May and Cape May.
Lakeview Docks, Wildwood Crest – Pier for fishing and crabbing off Park Blvd. open 7 am – 7 pm.
Charges a small fee for crabbing off the pier. Boat rentals also available.
Grassy Sound Marina Wildwood – Fishing and Crabbing Pier. 13 Old N. Wildwood Blvd. Between North Wildwood & Stone Harbor off Ocean Drive.

Public piers, jetties and beaches are great places to catch crabs.
Can we bring our own water craft?
Kayaks, Paddle boards, Paddle Boats, and Non Motorized Boats maybe used on our lake while a Life Guard is on duty. These must be stored on your site when not in use. A life jacket must be worn at all times. Motorized water craft is NOT permitted.

North Cape May Bay is great to explore with your water craft with many local restaurants on the bay to refuel such as The Lobster House, Lucky Bones & Harbor View Restaurant.
Motorized water craft can be put in the at FREE ramps located at
Cape May: 1200 Route 109, Cape May behind Lucky Bones Restaurant.
Wildwood Crest: New Jersey Avenue and Orchid Road, or Park Boulevard and Sweet Briar Road.
North Wildwood: 5th Avenue and the Bay. Parking and 2 ramps.
Kayak Launching Area: Miami and New Jersey Avenues at Sunset Lake, Wildwood Crest. 6 a.m. – 7 p.m.
The Wildwoods have many restaurants along the water for you to enjoy. Two Mile Landing, Beach Creek Oyster Bar and Grill, Uries, Boat House Restaurant & The Wharf.
When is the boardwalk open?
Wildwood boardwalk usually opens Easter Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.
